We developed a dynamic and user-friendly real estate investment platform, Dextersol, designed to connect investors with property listings, market trends, and investment opportunities. The website featured property search filters, interactive maps, and an analytics dashboard for users to monitor investments.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Our main challenge was to ensure secure user authentication, scaling the platform to handle high traffic during peak times and providing real-time data updates for property listings and market trends.
Moreover; we face many other challenges like; Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and accessibility and delays in API response times affecting data updates.
Solutions
We used JWT (JSON Web Tokens) for secure and scalable authentication. Implemented robust password hashing with bcrypt and SSL/TLS encryption to safeguard user credentials during transmission, we adopted micro services architecture to enable independent scaling of different components and utilized WebSocket technology for real-time communication, allowing instant updates on listings and market data.
We followed responsive design principles and rigorous testing across devices and browsers. Adhered to WCAG guidelines to ensure the platform was accessible to users with disabilities. Additionally, we implemented caching with Redis to store frequently accessed data, significantly reducing load time and improving the overall performance of the platform.
Project TimeLine
The real estate investment platform by Dextersol was developed and launched within a one-month time frame. The timeline was structured as follows:
First week: Stakeholders were assembled during the first week to learn about the objectives and requirements of the platform. Important features were defined, including analytics dashboards and property search filters.
Second week: The second week was devoted to creating the platform’s user interface, incorporating Redis caching, and configuring the backend architecture with Django.
Third week: During the third week, React was used for frontend development, incorporating APIs for data analytics and real-time real estate listings.
Fourth week: Lastly, extensive testing was done to make sure the platform was secure, operational, and operating at its best.
Approach and Process
Research and Planning
We began by conducting thorough market research to identify the needs and preferences of our target users. This research helped guide the development process and ensure the platform would meet user expectations.
Design Phase
During the design phase, we created wireframes and prototypes using Figma to visualize the user interface and experience. We paid close attention to detail, ensuring the designs were user-friendly and intuitive.
Development Phase
In the development phase, we built the front-end of the platform using React.js, enabling a dynamic and responsive user interface. On the back-end, we utilized Node.js and Express.js to create a robust, scalable server.
Testing and Deployment
Before launching the platform, we conducted thorough unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the functionality and performance of the website met all standards. Once testing was completed, we deployed the website using AWS, ensuring scalability and high availability to accommodate future growth and increased user traffic.
